Laiyang is located in the middle of Shandong Peninsula, bordering Haiyang on the east, Laixi on the west, Qixia and Zhaoyuan on the north and Jimo on the south.

In the past several years, the urban construction of Laiyang has made great progress.
1. Layout of the city
Project the city strategically and put layout in the first place for development.

1) Rebuilding the old administrative quarter
It is located in the commercial and cultural center of Laiyang. According to the layout, 144,000 square meters is for apartments, 41,000 square meters for commercial buildings, 8,000 square meters for reserved buildings. The project is suitable for large-scale
commercial and residential quarter.
2) New administrative center
It extends to Wulong Road in the west, Dasi Street in the east, Mengshan Road in the north and Fushui Road in the south. The used land totals 18.86 hectares, with 32,500 square meters for the main building, 9,200 square meters for the subsidiary building, 11,400 square meters for the administrative service building, and 4,500 square meters for the exhibition center.
3) Rebuilding of Xianhe Park
Located in the center of Laiyang proper, Xianhe Park stands as the biggest park in the counties of Shandong peninsula. It covers 73.3 hectares with the highway from Yantai to Qingdao in the south and Jingqi Road in the north. The whole park contains seven functional sections, such as the management section,
children section, entertainment section, water sports section, animal show section, flower show section and pear section.
4) Rebuilding the old quarter of Wugezhuang
It lies to the north of Jingqi Road and to the east of Xianyou Road, with a total layout area of 750,000 square meters. At present, the simple residential quarter occupies large areas, which is of high developing value.
5) Rebuilding the old quarter of Chengnan Village
It is located to the south of the highway from Yantai to Qingdao, the west of Xianhe Road, the east of Wulong Road and the north of Heshan Road, with the layout area totaling 360,000 square meters. Now, there are simple residential buildings that are of high developing potential.
6) Rebuilding the old quarter of Nanguan Village
It is located in the commercial and economic center and the layout area totals 350,000 square meters. The simple residential quarter is of high developing potential.
7) Building the old quarter of Dianda
Located in the center of Laiyang proper, the layout area totals 40,000 square meters. |
