A sewage plant with a daily capacity of 20,000 tons and pipe net construction
1. Brief introduction of the responsible institute
Laiyang Export-oriented Industrial Park is located in the west of Laiyang city, near Yanqing Highway (from Yantai to Qingdao) and with the entrance of Laiwai Expressway (from Laiyang to Weifang) in the west. The layout area of the park totals 36 million square meters and the park is divided into three sections-A, B and C. Since March of 2003, 40 companies have settled in section A of the park. At present, 12 enterprises have begun production. Before 2005, section A will be full of enterprises. As the park economy develops and the scale expands, the discharge of industrial and life waste has been increasing continually, which will bring bad pollution and harm to Bailong River, the ground water and alongshore sea area. We aim at an environmentally friendly industrial park to protect the environment and the rivers.
2. Construction conditions
As more companies enter the park, the increased water for industrial use leads to large amount of waste discharge, which will bring serious impact to environment. It is estimated that by 2005, the 120 companies in the park can discharge 30,000 tons of industrial and life waste per day, which necessitates sewage treatment and recycle.
3. Content
The sewage plant will cover 20 mu, treating 20,000 tons of waste each day. A matching pip net will also be set up.
4. Investment
The investment totals 34 million yuan, among which, 20 million is for the sewage plant. The administrative committee of the park is responsible for the construction of the pipe net.
5. Analysis of economic profits
When the sewage-treating project is under formal operation, the annual profits can reach 4.166 dollars and the payback period is about 9 years.
