Founded in 1978, Shandog Jilong Industrial Co., Ltd. has been certified as a state-level township enterprises group with the assets
totaling 450 million yuan and a staff of 3,800. The 11 subsidiaries under the group are mainly involved in processing and marketing of
vegetables, fruits, foods, edible oil, drinks, machinery parts and wood products. The company and its subsidiaries have all passed the quality system authentication of ISO9002.
2. Construction conditions
Laiyang is located in the middle of Shandong Peninsula, with roads extending to all directions. The project lies in Jilong Food Industrial Park and the supply of water, electricity and gas can be guaranteed. Shandong Peninsular stands as the largest base of fruits and vegetables. The company has established good cooperative relationship with Laiyang Agricultural College and Southwest Agricultural University. In addition, the company has lots of skilled workers who are familiar with food production.
3. Content and scale
The company boasts a production capacity of 10,000-ton tea drinks and 30,000-ton vegetable drinks. It intends to set up a large-scale beverage company with an annual capacity of 200,000 tons by adding 5 production lines for tea drinks and 3 for vegetable drinks through cooperation with investors from home and abroad.
4. Investment
The investment is expected to reach 22 million dollars, among which the registered capital
will be 20 million dollars. The Chinese party invests land-using right, workshops and equipments, accounting for 30%. The foreign party invests 14 million dollars, occupying 70%.
5. Analysis of market and profits
Originating in China, tea is one of the three soft drinks in the world. According to experts, the sales of tea will exceed that of carbonic acid drink to be Number 1 in China. Its market potential is immeasurable. China is a big country regarding fruit production, but processing rate is low. In 2000, the output of fruit juice and drinks of fruit juice was only 970,000 tons. The juice consumed by each person is only one tens of that of the developed countries. With the constant development of economy, people are inclined to nutrition and health. The present market of mixed beverage of fruits and vegetables will have a good future.
